    How does the 7-layer filtering system work?

     

    Besides a number of practical features, the MC707 owes its enhanced performance to an advanced 7-layer filtering system, the product of Daikin’s continuous drive for innovation and efficiency.

    • The Pre-filter (1) – containing catechin – captures large dust particles and pet hairs. 
    • The active Bio-Antibody Filter (2) removes airborne viruses. 
    • The Plasma Ionizer (3) positively charges dust and pollen particles, which are removed by the negatively charged Electrostatic Dust Filter. 
    • The Flash Streamer (4) decomposes chemical substances such as odours and formaldehyde into harmless by-products. 
    • The Flash Streamer (5) also promotes a photocatalytic reaction on the surface of the Titanium Apatite Photocatalytic Filter (6) that removes bacteria and viruses. 
    • The Deodorising Catalyst (7) breaks down odours.

    To keep the air in your home as clean as possible, Daikin has developed air purifiers with our new Flash Streamer and photocatalytic technologies for rooms up to 48 m2 and an airflow rate (in the HH mode) up to 420 m3/h.

NOTE: The filter is unable to remove all harmful substances such as carbon monoxide found in cigarette smoke.
      Once-a-year filter replacement is just a guide; Replacement time will differ depending on how the unit is used and where it is located. The replacement period will be shorter if the unit is used in a location where the air is very dirty.
